Beet molasses is a by-product of beet sugar production, used as a raw material for the production of ethyl alcohol, food acids, baker's and feed yeast, and also as an additive to feed for farm animals. It is a thick, opaque liquid from brown to dark brown in color, with an odor characteristic of beet sugar molasses, a sweet taste with a bitter aftertaste, and is completely soluble in hot and cold water.
